File Sharing Software

This page contains a series of links to software allowing you to share files from your own PC with other internet users. This is commonly known at Peer-2-Peer networking. All of these can be considered as suitable replacements for the now defunct Napster.

I used to use the Morpheus software, however they had some problems at the end of Feb\beginning of March and the network as was went down. This left us with their new software which I consider to be quite poor. However I now user the Grokster product which when installed is exactly the same the Morpheus used to be.

Please be aware that many file sharing programs contain so called Spyware, which can gather information about you and your surfing habits. These programs, if you don't get the option NOT to install them, can often be blocked with a firewall though, such as ZoneLabs Zone Alarm.
