1) It's been a while since I've done any updates. This is because I've been upgrading my machines, which still isn't complete at present. I've had a lot of problems with the Creative Labs Audigy Ex which I bought and I have now come to the conclusion that either the unit is faulty, having tried it with no joy in three machines. Or the product has been released too early to market by Creative. There's certainly no way in the world any of the supplied drivers work with my machines, 2 x Win 2K and 1 x 98SE. Anyway a word of advice, mine is now being returned for a cheaper alternative. So don't buy an Audigy for at least a year!
2) I've added some players which I actually can't remember now, because I'm too tired. So I'm going to bid you adew...say I'm pleased to see the forum getting good use...and now, good night!

2) Comment on CD Copying
Did anyone in the UK catch the piece on Watchdog about the copy protection put on some audio CDs? What a cock up the music industry and the copy protection company have made. I'm sure they've wasted millions on the system as well, which as I understand it (reading an article I think on CD Freaks), has already been circumvented by at least once CD Writing software company. When will industries learn that the only way to prevent copying is to charge sensible prices for their products? Copying in terms of selling on to Joe public would be killed over night if CD cost no more than 5-6.00. This would then leave copying merely to casual copies either made by friends or copy music for the car. What it boils down to is that people simply do not like to see a select few people lining their own pockets with our money. Let's face it, how many more millions does Elton John need? None! Individuals are merely greedy and not one person needs more than one million pounds to set them up for life on this planet. It's about time the select few lined their pockets with less money and their personal incomes were reduced massively. When this happens copying CDs, DVDs will be all but stopped.
